Overview

Khamma Ghani Jaipur is a design-led publication that celebrates the timeless charm and vibrant culture of Jaipur, famously known as the Pink City of India. Conceived as a travel journal and itinerary guide, the project captures the city’s spirit through a combination of research, storytelling, photography, and visual design. It aims to provide travelers with an immersive experience that goes beyond sightseeing — uncovering Jaipur’s layered history, colorful traditions, bustling bazaars, and architectural brilliance. From the majesty of Amer Fort to the intricate crafts of local artisans, the project documents the city’s soul with authenticity and depth.
Developed over two months in September 2023, the project culminated in The Travel Catalogue — a publication that blends editorial design with cultural exploration. Each page was carefully crafted with attention to typography, layout, and image composition to create a cohesive visual journey. The outcome stands as a creative fusion of research, design, and cultural narrative, showcasing my ability to translate real-world exploration into a compelling visual experience that celebrates the identity and rhythm of Jaipur.
This project also strengthened my understanding of design systems and narrative structure within publication design. It challenged me to balance visual aesthetics with informative storytelling, ensuring that every spread served both function and emotion. Khamma Ghani Jaipur remains one of my most enriching projects—one that deepened my connection with Indian culture while refining my skills in conceptual design, layout strategy, and visual storytelling.
